Crafty, registered name Crafty Star, was born in 1996 and brought to Ryerss Farm in August 2014.  He is a solid bay Thoroughbred gelding who stands at 16.1 hands high. He began a career in racing at 2 years of age. Crafty continued racing for 5 years under many different owners with 49 starts throughout Louisiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Iowa and Pennsylvania. His winnings were over $171,000 with 10 firsts, 6 seconds and 4 thirds. After he stopped racing, Crafty returned to his original owner and then finally came to retire at Ryerss Farm.
