Jalou was born in Germany in 1990 and brought to Ryerss Farm to retire on August 23, 2018.  He is a handsome 16.1 hands high bay Trakehner. After coming to the United States, Jalou competed successfully in dressage at fourth level. Later in life Jalou worked as a dressage schoolmaster. He especially enjoyed teaching flying changes, half pass and extended trot.  Jalou is a little shy but is a real sweetheart.
