Peanut was born in 1987 and was brought to Ryerss Farm for her retirement on October 9, 2016.  She is a lovely dun Quarter Horse mare who stands 14.3 hands high.  Peanut is one of three mares who arrived together as rescues from the Large Animal Protective Society (LAPS).  They had been adopted several years earlier by a woman who could no longer care for them, so she returned them to LAPS.  As all three were in their 20’s and could not be adopted as riding horses, they came to Ryerss for their permanent home to live out their retirement years.
