RYERSS fARM
Anne Waln Ryerss' legacy accounts for only a small fraction of the cost required to provide quality care for our residents. In addition to food and shelter, a horse must have its hooves trimmed regularly to prevent soreness and injury. He must also receive a routine dental check-up and inoculations. And, like humans, an occasional illness or injury requires a doctor's visit. All this, combined with the special medications that are necessary for some of our residents, adds up to an average of approximately $8,400.00 per year per equine.
The folks at Ryerss do what they can to keep the costs down. We grow our own grain, hay, and straw on site. Since no public funds are received, Ryerss Farm relies on the generous support of caring individuals and groups.
There are several ways to support the residents of Ryerss Farm with a healthy and peaceful retirement. Simply enter your contact information, choose your donation amount, and select the frequency—all in just a few clicks. Every donation, regardless of size, makes a difference!
Donation Options:
Horse Pedicure $60
Did you know horses need their hooves trimmed every 6-8 weeks? Treat your favorite horse to a Ryerss pedicure!
Dental Visit $75
Ryerss horses need a dental visit once a year. Sponsor a dental visit for your favorite horse at Ryerss and give the gift of a healthy smile!
Memory Board Plate $100
Buy a plate for our memory board.
Barn Memory Wall Plate $300
Donate a brass plate in memory or honor of a friend or animal, to be displayed in the barn, the heart of the farm.
(PAUSED) Horse Sponsor $500/yr
For just $500 a year, you can sponsor one of our residents and cover their essential care and supplies. We also offer a convenient monthly payment plan of $42/month.
Please note: In-person sponsor visits are paused during our Main Barn renovation (July–August). Current sponsorship agreements will be extended by two months, and new sponsorships will resume once renovations are complete. Read our full announcement for details.
When new sponsorships reopen, you can choose a horse to sponsor by stopping by the farm or reading more about our residents online. At that time, you'll be able to submit your request and payment online, or complete our Sponsorship Form and mail it with your payment.
All sponsors receive a picture, a certificate, and a biography of their retiree. Once visits resume, sponsors can also schedule private time during regular visiting hours to groom and get to know their horse.

A brass plaque with your loved one’s name will be placed on the door of one of the stalls.

If you prefer to mail in a donation, you can print out a Donation Response Form, complete it, and send it to Ryerss Farm along with your payment. Alternatively, you could mail in a check and make it payable to “Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines” and send it to:
