Treat a Ryerss resident to the highest-quality care! For just $500 a year, you can sponsor one of our horses and cover their essential care and supplies. Online sponsors can also choose a convenient payment plan of $125 a quarter or $42 a month.
Why Sponsor a Resident
By choosing to sponsor a resident, you become an integral part of their daily care and welfare. Founded in 1888, Ryerss Farm is the oldest non-profit horse sanctuary in the USA, providing aged, abused, and injured horses a safe home to live out their golden years. On our 300+ acre farm, our residents are never worked, sold at auction, or used for experiments. They simply spend their days grazing and enjoying life with their friends, as part of the herd. We are deeply grateful for your support.

What to Expect as a Sponsor

Sponsors may visit 1 to 2 times per week, during regular visiting hours.

We encourage you to groom your horse. Please don’t pick hooves or cut manes and tails.

Horses are led only under the supervision of barn management.

To protect our residents’ health, outside treats such as apples and carrots are not permitted.

We deeply value the unique bond you form with your sponsored horse and welcome your observations. Our staff makes the final decisions on all care and management so every resident enjoys consistent routines.
Nuestra MISIÓN
1. Choose your horse. Visit the farm at no cost Tuesday-Sunday, from 10 AM to 4 PM, to meet our residents or learn more about them online.
2. Submit your request and payment. Complete the sponsorship form below and choose $500 annually, $125 quarterly, or $42 monthly. Alternatively, you can print our Sponsorship Form and mail it, along with your $500 check, to Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines, 1710 Ridge Road, Pottstown, PA 19465. Cash and checks can also be dropped off at the office. Quarterly and monthly payment plans are available only through the online form.
3. Receive your welcome letter. Once your sponsorship and payment are confirmed, you’ll receive a welcome letter with everything you need to get started, including instructions for scheduling visits with your horse and our sponsorship guidelines. We encourage you to visit frequently to see the direct impact you are making in their life.
