Leave a Legacy of Compassion and Safety for Horses at Ryerss Farm

At Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines, we care for aged, abused, and injured horses, providing a home where they can spend their golden years in safety, comfort, and dignity.

Some arrive after years of service. Others come after hardship. All are welcome into a place built on compassion and lifelong commitment.

Founded in 1888, Ryerss is America’s oldest non-profit horse sanctuary, dedicated to serving horses in need. That legacy continues today thanks to those who choose to help carry it forward.

The Ryerss Legacy Society is one of the most meaningful ways to ensure that commitment endures for generations to come.

What Is Legacy Giving?

Legacy giving is a planned financial gift made through your estate that provides future support for Ryerss.

Members of the Ryerss Legacy Society are individuals and friends who have chosen to include the Board Designated Endowment Fund in their long-term plans. These gifts may be made through a will, trust, retirement account, life insurance policy, or other designated arrangement.

Gifts of any size are deeply valued and help provide ongoing care for the horses who call Ryerss home. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, contributions may also be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Why Does Legacy Giving Matter?

Legacy gifts provide long-term stability for Ryerss. They help ensure the farm can continue maintaining pastures, supporting veterinary care, and meeting the daily needs of its horses.

Unlike immediate donations that address day-to-day needs, these commitments strengthen the foundation that allows Ryerss to plan responsibly for the future and care for horses over time.

For many, this is a deeply personal decision that reflects a lifelong connection to horses and a desire to create lasting impact.

How Do I Join the Ryerss Legacy Society?

Joining the Ryerss Legacy Society is simple. Download the Enrollment Form and indicate your planned gift to the Endowment Fund.

If you have already included Ryerss in your plans, we are sincerely grateful and would be honored to recognize your commitment. Anonymous recognition is also available upon request.
