Visit Us At No Cost!
Open weekends only, Saturdays & Sundays, 10 AM to 4 PM, July through September during our Main Barn renovation.

Summer Renovation: We're Open Weekends, July–September
Beginning July 1, our Main Barn renovation means we're open to the public on weekends only, Saturdays and Sundays, 10 AM to 4 PM, through September. The farm is closed Monday through Friday during construction. The Main Barn will be an active construction zone, so our operations have moved to the upper barn. There are still plenty of horses to visit in the nearby fields. Read our full announcement for details on tours, sponsorships, and volunteering.
Visiting Ryerss for the first time?
Here's what to expect:
When you come down our beautiful driveway, please park in the lot in front of the main office and gift shop. Upon arrival, check in at our visitor's center, where our gift shop is located along with information about Ryerss Farm and our residents.
During the summer renovation, please follow all posted signage and stay within designated visitor areas. You are welcome to visit the residents out in their pastures and along the fence lines (see the notice above for details).
Due to concerns for our residents' health, we no longer allow visitors to bring their own treats or carrots. However, you may purchase treats in our gift shop for $4 (one bag per group, please).
Stay for as long or as little as you'd like!
For the Love of the Herd: An Update on Our Care
At Ryerss, our first priority is the happiness and well-being of our residents. To give them the most natural retirement possible, we’ve transitioned most of our herd to 24/7 turnout.
While this means your favorite friends may be grazing in a far pasture, it offers important benefits:
-
Better Health: Keeps joints limber and aids digestion.
-
True Companionship: Horses bond and live as a herd.
-
Total Contentment: Freedom to graze, nap, or play.
Turnout depends on favorable weather, and our staff will continue to monitor the herd closely throughout the day.
Thank you for supporting our horse-first philosophy.
