On Saturday, April 18th, Ryerss Farm welcomed the community to our 14th Annual Run for the Horses, a spirited event in support of our retired and rescued horses. Whether you joined us to race, walk, or simply show your support for a cause close to your heart, we’re truly grateful you were part of it. The day was filled with excitement, energy, and meaningful connections.
Different Paces, Same Purpose

More than 250 enthusiastic participants gathered, united by a shared commitment to our mission. With options including a 10K race on its own dedicated loop, a 5K run, and a scenic 1-mile walk, there was something for everyone.
Pre-registered participants received commemorative Dri-Fit t-shirts as a token of appreciation and a symbol of unity. Race-day registration opened at noon, and the event began at 1 PM with a staggered start. 10K runners set off first, followed by 5K runners and 1-mile walkers, ensuring a fun and inclusive experience for all.
A Community That Carries Each Other Forward

Volunteers and supporters lined the course, cheering on participants and celebrating every achievement. The race-day energy perfectly captures what makes this event so special: a community that rallies for each other and for the horses who depend on us.
The celebration did not end at the finish line. Participants enjoyed a festive post-race gathering with water, snacks, soft pretzels from Philly Pretzel Factory, and locally brewed beer courtesy of Stable 12 Brewing Company. A live DJ kept spirits high as everyone came together to celebrate a successful day.
We wrapped up with medal presentations for top finishers in the 10K and 5K races across four age groups: 1–20, 21–40, 41–60, and 61–99. Congratulations to our winners and to every participant who made this day unforgettable.
