New Run-In Sheds For Ryerss Horses

Updated: Sep 10, 2019

Ryerss Farm has just acquired three large new run-in sheds which will help shelter our horses from inclement weather.  These sheds were constructed by Horizon Structures of Atglen, PA and feature a “Quaker Style” roof with 30 year asphalt shingles, board and batten white pine exterior, 2×4 post and beam frame  built on pressure treated yellow pine 6×6’s and an oak kick board.  Each shed also has two vent drops to provide cross ventilation.  The purchase of these shelters for the horses was made possible by the the profits from our Annual Ryerss Yard Sale in the Barn, which was held in May, and also by an anonymous donation.  If you are driving west past the farm on route #23, you will see two of the new buildings on the top of the hill to your right.  The other sits on top of a hill directly east of the main barn.  See photos below of delivery day and also Stanley inspecting one of the sheds!
