Ryerss Farm For Aged Equines Dedicates New Bell Education Center With Ribbon Cutting

On Saturday, February 11, 2017, the Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines celebrated the completion of its new Bell Education Center. The new education center and refurbished administration quarters was made possible through a generous endowment from the estate of two sisters, Robin and Barbara Bell. The new facility, which has state of the art audio-visual equipment, will be used for large volunteer groups, education classes, Board of Managers meetings, birthday parties, and other social gatherings.

“Our new Bell education and conference center underscores Ryerss Farm’s commitment to educating the public about our mission”, said Samuel W.M. Griffin, President. “We are here today to honor the memory and generosity of both Robin Sherrie Bell and Barbara Bell.” Two plaques, honoring each of the sisters, hang proudly in the new center.

Executors of the Bell Estate, members of the Board of Managers, Ryerss staff and volunteers attended the ribbon cutting ceremony and dedication.

Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines is the oldest non-profit horse sanctuary in the United States and continues to provide a haven for horses of all breeds, sizes, and walks of life, thanks to the generosity of our donors. Visitors are welcome to stop by the farm and see the horses between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The cost is free but donations are always appreciated.
